All about Apple – Savona

Founded on 11 May 2002, the All About Apple Museum is currently the most well-stocked Apple museum in the world. It houses almost the entire production of Apple personal computers, peripherals, accessories and prototypes from the early days of 1976 to the present day.
The history of Toirano brought to life through an old stable housing a collection of over three thousand objects and artefacts from the past.

Toirano Ethnographic Museum

An exhibition encompassing the life and history of Toirano is hosted in the stables of an ancient palace. The collection consists of around three thousand objects and artefacts, relating to ancient activities practised in the Toirano area and in western Liguria in general. On the Piano Nobile of the palace, the rooms of the aristocratic residence have been reconstructed.

The ‘Gallinara Island Nature Reserve’ Multimedia Exhibition is a multimedia journey that lets you visit the island with its settlements, seabird nesting areas and the seabed facing the island, that has abundant fish varieties, and is home to Christ the Redeemer where you can dive down to see it.

City and Archaeological Museum - Savona

The ‘Civico Museo Archeologico e della Città’ (City and Archaeological Museum), opened in 1990, is housed in the 15th-century ‘Loggia del Castello Nuovo’, within Savona’s Priamàr monumental complex.
The museum is part of the MUSA (Civici Musei Savona) circuit and is included in the network of museums in the Liguria Region.

The Civico Museo Archeologico di Savona, located in the Palazzo della Loggia, combines the exhibition route with some archaeological areas. The constantly changing exhibition design adapts scientific content to the dynamics of archaeological research. The leitmotif of the exhibition is ceramics and the types produced in Savona since the Middle Ages are represented, with one section dedicated to the Fortress.
A specific route for the visually impaired (in Braille) has been set up along the museum route, with a number of stations where they can become acquainted with certain exhibits through touch.

The museum can also be visited by appointment.

The Museums’ reception desk can provide a guide (in Italian and English) to the Monumental Complex and the Museum, as well as scientific publications published by the Managing Institute and the Ligurian Centre for the History of Ceramics.

Visiting the Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art means walking through 1,000 years of history among Albenga’s ecclesiastical and artistic testimonies.

Diocesan Museum and Baptistery - Albenga

The Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art, located in the premises of the old Bishop’s Palace, houses numerous artistic treasures and cultural artefacts from various periods of ecclesiastical history. The Baptistery is one of the most important early Christian monuments in northern Italy, built in the late Roman period between the 5th and 6th centuries. Inside, in a niche, there is a splendid multi-coloured mosaic depicting the symbol of the Trinity.
In the exhibition 'Magical Transparencies - Glass from Ancient Albingaunum' in Albenga, you will see glass findings from Roman times.

An exhibition of glass artefacts uncovered during excavations in the necropolis of Albenga, including a unique piece, the Blue Plate on which two putti dance in honour of Bacchus were carved, found next to objects from a funerary outfit.
In Garlenda, near Albenga, you can take a journey into the past, dedicated to the legendary and fascinating Fiat 500.

The museum is aimed at fans of the big small car and is for anyone interested in cars, motoring and the history of Fiat. But it can be enjoyed by a broad, wider public, eager to get to know a cross-section of the history of Italy which, thanks to the ‘500’, finally got on four wheels and drove into modernity.
The MuDA in Albissola Marina is a civic collection of modern and contemporary art. It is fitted out with a multi-purpose space for conferences and exhibitions.

MuDA - Alba Docilia Kiln - Albissola Marina

An extraordinary museum relating the history of ceramic art and technology. It is an authentic ceramic factory, perfectly preserved within the ancient village of Albissola Marina. Inside, several original rooms can be visited, where the old wood-fired kilns and decanting tanks for clay and glazes can be found. The museum houses a selection of contemporary ceramic art works from the civic collection, and a permanent exhibition of traditional ceramic nativity scenes, known as macachi, from Albissola.
