Via Paleocapa, Corso Italia and Via Pia are just some of the streets where you can go shopping in Savona. Walking through the historical centre is pleasant as there are pedestrian zones, the characteristic ‘caruggi’, or narrow alleyways, and arcades.

In the evenings, the old Darsena district comes alive with people in the numerous bars, enjoying an aperitif, sometimes accompanied by the typical dish, panissa fritta.

Also not to be missed are the Towers, the Priamar Fortress and the Cappella Sistina, or Sistine Chapel.
The city’s various museums are definitely worth a visit, including: Ceramics Museum, Pinacoteca Civica, All about Apple museum, Archaeological Museum and the Cuneo – Pertini Museum.
