Spotorno hosted the English writer D.H. Lawrence and the great 20th century Italian Camillo Sbarbaro.

The SS. Annunziata Parish Church and the Oratories contain ancient treasures, sailors’ votive offerings and examples of Ligurian art. The Saracen towers and the remains of the castle are traces of Spotorno’s history.

The Blue Flag, Green Flag and Purple Flag are awards that demonstrate the town’s eco-sustainability and dedication to hospitality.
