  • Beaches
  • Thehistorical centre is divided into the old town, or Borgo Vecchio, which is medieval in origin with its typical narrow alleyways, tall, colourful houses, and cobbled paving typical of Liguria, and the new town, or Borgo Nuovo, which is Renaissance in character.
  • The streets in the centre are lined with splendid medieval and 18th-century palaces, such as Palazzo Leale-Franchelli, with beautiful frescoed rooms and a well-stocked library.
  • The Castle is the symbol of the town of Pietra Ligure. The locality was once known as 'La Pietra' (The Stone), because of the large limestone cliff where the Roman castrum was built. Its ruins became the current castle. The castle is part of the Riviera delle Palme Castles tour and is a building with almost two millennia of history.
