Laigueglia

Laigueglia preserves its past built by fishermen, sailors and merchants in its alleyways, small squares by the sea and churches.

Set in a privileged position, between Capo Santa Croce and Capo Mele, Laigueglia preserves its past built by fishermen, sailors, merchants in its alleyways, small squares overlooking the sea, churches and sanctuaries.

Listed as one of ‘The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy‘, the ‘heart’ of Laigueglia is its historic centre.

The shallow sea, fine sand and mild temperatures even in winter make it possible to enjoy a range of sports activities – the main attraction for tourists.

Along the hiking trail, you’ll comes across the home of Thor Heyerdahl, the famous Norwegian anthropologist whose name is linked to the Kon Tiki, who said of this place,“…I have spent my life exploring the world. But when I came to this place I didn’t hesitate. My home would be in this little paradise…”.
